Gears for Industrial Fabric Machines
Hummingbird 3D has produced several machine replacement parts for Fairystone Fabrics in Burlington NC, including these take-up and let-off gears. These parts were produced in plastic with high precision printing. The first picture is one of our take-up gears (black plastic) in use on one of the machines.
Tension Arm for Industrial Knitting Machines
Hummingbird 3D reproduced a broken industrial knitting machine component with one in a high-strength carbon fiber-nylon blend. The part is currently installed and running in the machine at Fairystone Fabrics alongside one of the original cast aluminum parts.
Breeze Cartoner Funnel
Featured below, is a 3D printed prototype to be used as a component of an industrial assembly machine. The original part (second picture) was machined out of stainless steel, and our prototype was produced in carbon fiber-reinforced nylon.

Couplings for Glen Raven Inc.
The featured couplings, for Glen Raven Inc., were produced using flexible nylon (white) and fiberglass-reinforced nylon (grey).
The below 3-part print uses a combination of nylon and carbon fiber to produce high-strength materials with high definition, creating a solid and durable overall product.
